Stanford Children’s Health, with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford at its center, is one of the largest health care system in the country that is exclusively dedicated to pediatric and obstetric care.  Our network of care includes more than 65 locations across Northern California and more than 85 locations in the U.S. Western region.  We are a nonprofit organization committed to supporting the community through meaningful outreach programs and services and providing necessary medical care to families, regardless of their ability to pay.

As part of Stanford Medicine, a leading academic health system that also includes Stanford Health Care and Stanford School of Medicine, we are cultivating the next generation of medical professionals and are at the forefront of scientific research to improve children’s health outcomes around the world.

Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford is the pediatric teaching hospital of Stanford University School of Medicine, the oldest medical school in the Western United States.  With more than 1,000 residents and clinic fellows and 366 pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists, our Department of Pediatrics is one of the largest departments in the School of Medicine.  Our Stanford physician-scientists are at the forefront of discoveries and are actively translating them to benefit children’s health.  The ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between transformational discovery and cures that can save lives.  Whether it’s accelerating new treatments for diseases or launching new technologies specifically tailored to children, our focus is translating discoveries from the laboratory bench right to the patient’s bedside.  Our successes are made possible in part by the Stanford Maternal and Child Health Research Institute (MCHRI), which plays a crucial role in helping mobilize Stanford discoveries to benefit children and maternal health at local, national, and global levels.
