Dr. Robert Colnes, PhD is the director of Nemours Office of Human Subject Protection.. He has been involved in the human research protection program at Nemours as an IRB member for six years, including a role as Vice Chair of Nemours IRB #1. Bob joined Nemours in 2005, initially in a research capacity with Nemours Health and Prevention Services. There, he was the project officer and principal investigator for the Delaware Children’s Health Chartbook, a compendium of information about the health status, behaviors and utilization of Delaware’s children and youth. He brings a wealth of experience in management, study design and evaluation research to his new role. Bob received his doctorate in Psychology from The American University, Washington DC, where he also earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees.
