Amanda O'Halloran, MD

Amanda O’Halloran, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. O’Halloran completed a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 2020. She aspires to become an independent clinician-scientist in the field of pediatric resuscitation and learning health systems (LHS). Her project is titled, “Improving Compliance with Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Ventilation Rates—A Hybrid Effectiveness- Implementation Trial." Her project will be explored through the following aims:

  • Utilize high-fidelity simulation and clinician stakeholder perspectives to develop and implement an intra-arrest ventilation rate bundle.
  • Partner with representative patient family members to elicit perspectives and recommendations on intra-arrest care, particularly on the novel intra-arrest ventilation rate bundle.
  • Evaluate the implementation of the ventilation rate bundle.
  • Measure the impact of the ventilation rate bundle on intra-arrest ventilation rates and patient outcomes.
