Gina Sequeira, MD, MS

Gina Sequeira, MD, MS is an acting Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington and Adolescent Medicine physician at Seattle Children's Hospital. She completed her residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh as well as a Master of Science in Clinical Research at the University of Pittsburgh in 2019. Dr. Sequeira serves as the Co-Director of the Seattle Children's Gender Clinic and her research focuses on using telehealth to improve access to gender-affirming care for transgender and gender diverse youth.

Dr.Sequeira's PEDSnet project is titled "Improving Access to Gender-Affirming Care for Transgender Youth through Telehealth", the project will explore this topic using the following aims:

  • Examine the experiences and perspectives of transgender youth, their parents, and their PCPs regarding the delivery of gender-affirming care and training through various telehealth modalities. 
  • Develop and pilot a specialist-PCP electronic consultation platform and assess its usability and acceptability in the pediatric primrary care setting.
