Family & Youth Advisory Councils

Patients and their families are an integral part of the PEDSnet mission. As a result of this, we have established both the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) and the Family Advisory Council (FAC). You can find more information about both councils below as well as additional resources for sites hoping to work with one of both groups.

Youth Advisory Council (YAC)

  • The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of older adolescents and young adults who provide voice to network decision-making and stakeholder engagement services and activities to PEDSnet studies. This group currently meets six times a year via video conference.

Family Advisory Council (FAC)

  • The Family Advisory Council (FAC) consists of two caregivers from each PEDSnet site, they provide feedback, insights, and engagement on proposals submitted from current PEDSnet studies. This group currently meets six times a year via video conference.
