Funder(s)

Provenance

Created with Pamela Weiss as part of her BACK-OFF JSpA Study, which focused on recruitment of patients with Juvenile Spondyloarthritis.

Description

This concept set was developed by a group of pediatric rheumatologists, led by Dr. Pamela Weiss, and one clinical informatician, Levon Utidjian. The group organized SNOMED concepts for diagnoses codes related to pediatric rheumatology with classification into categories of: Autoinflammatory, Connective Tissue Disorders, JIA (juvenile idiopathic arthritis), Labs, Other arthritis, Pain, Uveitis and Vasculitis. There is further sub-classification into clusters.

Technical note: this code set is designed for use with the PEDSnet data model. Two additional columns for classification in categories and clusters within categories are included.
