Abstract
The results of a Patient Event Sequencing check using the Multi-Site, Exploratory, Cross-Sectional parameters. This check investigates the distribution of time between a T2DM diagnosis (index event) and a CKD diagnosis (outcome event).

Provenance
This data quality check was run on a data extracted from the PAQS Query 3 Project. These results were not used for the query, but rather run on the query data after analysis was conducted as part of an SSQDA demonstration project.
Description
*- Generally, about 60-70% of the cohort does not have both events, and because a T2DM diagnosis was a requirement of cohort entry, this really means that a CKD diagnosis is not present for those cohort members. The exception to this is the pediatric cohort, for whom CKD is much less prevalent. For those institutions, 95%+ of the cohort does not have a CKD diagnosis.
- When these events do occur together, only up to 25% of the cohort have them occur within a year of each other. This indicates that there is potentially a greater distance between these two events expected, so another user threshold should be implemented in future iterations to futher explore.
Response to Findings
Study team did not conduct further investigation or data intervention in response to these results because this was a demonstration project.
