Device phenotypes refer to patient characteristics or conditions that can be derived from data collected by medical devices and sensors. These devices continuously or intermittently monitor and record various physiological parameters, which are then transformed into structured, computable phenotypes. These phenotypes are used for clinical decision-making, research, and personalized healthcare, as they capture real-time or longitudinal information about a patient's health status. These phenotypes help capture data that is objective, continuous, and often more precise than traditional clinical measurements, allowing for more accurate monitoring of health conditions, personalized interventions, and better overall patient management. They also enable the use of real-time data in clinical decision support and research settings.
