Concept set intended to identify patients with an exposure to oral Deflazacort.

Description

This concept set contains oral deflazacort. There are no combinations. This concept set was generated by taking all descendants of oral deflazacort from the SCDG level. The codeset was reviewed by the PRESERVE BPZ workgroup led by Mark Mitsnefes.

This codeset was created as part of the inclusion/exclusion criteria for the cohort of patients for the development and evaluation of EHR-based pediatric blood pressure Z-scores. One of the exclusion criteria was exposure to specific steroids (including oral deflazacort) at any time. This concept set is limited to medications in the RxNorm and RxNorm Extension vocabularies.
