The use of e-bikes and e-scooters has risen rapidly, including among children. Yet, Multicenter data on pediatric injury trends, severity, and device differences remain limited. New ICD-10-CM external cause codes now make these injuries identifiable in EHRs. By capitalizing on these new coding practices, we used PEDSnet to examine trends and severity in e-bike and e-scooter use and benchmarked against non-motorized devices.
