Dongkyu Kim, Ph.D., is a Computer Scientist with deep expertise in integrating databases from heterogeneous sources and managing data quality in ETL processes. He has contributed to the development of enterprise-level Master Data Management and Information Retrieval Systems utilizing Ontology technologies in the industry. His work with Master Data Management is particularly noteworthy, as it is crucial for information retrieval and computational data management, defining and classifying information shared across healthcare entities. This technology provides a reference point for constantly changing transactional data, and it supports the consolidation and analysis of collected data. At the Medical Center at Georgetown University, he broadened his expertise to include biomedical informatics. Here, he developed various cohort discovery methodologies and designed a data warehouse system for querying electronic health records across multiple institutions at the Center for Translational Research, Children’s National Hospital. Currently, he is working on building the CN Data Lake, which integrates various research data and clinical data warehouses based on multiple CDMs.
