Sandra joined PEDSnet in November 2021 as a Data Manager. Her background is in diagnostic microbiology. She obtained her Master of Science in Microbiology from Thomas Jefferson University, and she is a board-certified microbiologist (ASCP). Before joining CHOP, she worked 7 years at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in the clinical laboratory department (Microbiology). Sandra is fascinated by the process of how to optimally translate clinical data generated in health systems into concepts that allow optimal analytical evaluation and inference. She is particularly interested in how this applies to laboratory data. Sandra completed both CHOP’s Data and Analytics (DnA) Fellow program, and the NIH funded Data and Analytics for Research Training (DART) in 2023.
