Suchitra Rao, MBBS, MSCS is Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Sections of Infectious Diseases and Hospital Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She is the Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Her research focus is respiratory viruses, including influenza, COVID-19 and RSV. She has several federal grants studying influenza and COVID-19 epidemiology and outcomes in children including conducting observational studies, pragmatic trials and leveraging large data networks. She also studies influenza vaccination effectiveness, delivery and the host response to influenza vaccines and natural infection.
