My background is in mathematics; prior to joining PEDSnet, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Swarthmore College working in algebraic topology. Since joining PEDSnet, I have worked on a variety of studies, many of them focusing on pediatric long COVID. My research interests include developing and applying methods (from both classical causal inference and machine learning) that can harness the high-dimensional nature of EHR data to bear on problems in clinical informatics such as disease phenotyping, subphenotyping, and data quality.
