Sophie Allende-Richter, MD, MPH, is a general pediatrician and obesity medicine specialist, aiming to pursue a career in patient-centered outcomes research and medical decision sciences. Her main goal is to improve reproductive health and cardiovascular health outcomes in young women. To that goal, she seeks to advance the use of shared decision-making to enhance cardiovascular health awareness among adolescents and young adults with cardiometabolic risk factors during reproductive health or primary care visits.
