The purpose of this study is to understand the effects of parathyroid hormone levels on risks of skeletal fractures among children with chronic kidney disease. Investigators will utilize the existing row-level PEDSnet dataset previously created to examine the effects of phosphate binder use on rates of skeletal fractures in children with CKD. This dataset contains demographic information (age, sex) and time-varying variables including anthropometric measurements, medications, supplement use, laboratory measures, and skeletal fractures. The investigators will use proportional rates models to estimate the effects of time-varying PTH levels on the rates of skeletal fractures after controlling for confounding factors and explore whether growth velocity and/or CKD stage modify these effects.
