This concept set was developed for the Preserving Kidney Function in Children with Chronic Kidney Disease (PRESERVE) study. Urology visits are a covariate of interest across the PRESERVE study, given the relationship between kidney issues and the genitourinary system.

Description

This concept set contains codes intended to identify urology visits (in combination with the urology facility concept set). This concept set was generated by restricting the PCORnet CDM value set to provider types that mention “urology”. The value set uses the “Medicare Specialty” vocabulary, though the PEDSnet CDM also uses “ABMS”, “NUCC”, and “PEDSnet” vocabularies. The concept set is based on PCORnet CDM v6.0 2021-04.
