Description
- For most sites, the overall characterization of the cohort did not change drastically between the two definitions.
- For Nationwide, the updated attrition criteria significantly improved cohort makeup in several key areas: hematology specialty & inpatient utilization, ANC & MCV lab population, hydroxyurea exposures, and demographic distributions.
Response to Findings
The results of this analysis confirmed that the updated attrition criteria improved overall cohort characterization, especially for Nationwide. We will continue with this definition into the primary analysis.
