This concept set was developed as part of the cohort definition for the Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery (RECOVER) Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 (PASC) Electronic Health Record (EHR) Cohort Study. RECOVER was a was a long-term NIH-funded project focused on analyzing the COVID-19 outbreak, especially the long term health impacts of the pandemic.

Description

One of several codesets to assist with identifying COVID patients in source data. It is advised that users of these codesets also include any additional institution-specific code (diagnosis, procedure or lab) to meet this concept diagnosis to account for missing source data mappings. This codeset should be used in tandem with several other codesets to identify patients who are eligible for the study cohort. More information on the RECOVER study cohort is available here
