This concept set was developed for the Preserving Kidney Function in Children with Chronic Kidney Disease (PRESERVE) study. The BMI provided by source was incorporated into the approach to deriving BMI for PRESERVE. BMI z-score was summarized as a covariate in a subset of the PRESERVE analyses.
Description
This concept set contains a field of the PCORnet VITAL table pertaining to Body Mass Index (BMI) measurements. For the PEDSnet CDM, BMI and BMI z-score for age/sex (using NHANES 2000 norms) is derived from height and weight.
